It’s a routine Monday morning at Mrphonefix in Galway.

A customer arrives with a problem – her phone won’t charge! It’s a common complaint which our technician Robbie has heard a thousand times.

What is the problem though?

A quick appraisal – with covers removed – shows a couple of issues.

There is indication of water damage which may be problematic.

On closer inspection Robbie’s initial instincts are proven correct and the ‘charging port’ has become detached.

Solution

Some micro soldering is required. A delicate operation, a two hour turn-around and  another satisfied customer is ‘back online’!
